A fine stone engraved map dated 1864 but likely published in 1869 or after based on the lacy decorative border. The Pacific Railroad is shown completed through Utah so it cannot have been published earlier than 1869. Arizona Territory has its first four counties, namely Mohave, Yuma, Pima and Yavapai. New Mexico Territory regains its 'strip' counties. The Utah/Nevada border is now at 114°, it's final location. The Pony Express route was shown on earlier editions, but is not present on this map. Details many explorer's routes, a number of emigrant roads to California, and the Pacific Railroad route through Utah, Nevada and California.
