Handsome little map of the continent with a strapwork title cartouche. A remnant of the Lac de Parime with its mythical Manoa o el Dorado (City of Gold) is still shown straddling the equator. This is a smaller edition of Sanson's quarto-sized map of South America, published in Zacharias Chatelain's multi-volume La Science des Personnes de Cour....
