A beautiful and highly detailed map of Provence in southern France that covers the region from Arles to Monaco. The map is adorned with a decorative allegoric title cartouche and an inset map of the port of Toulon. This example provides a great deal of information with place names, castles, monasteries, rivers, lakes, woods, mountains and fortifications prominently engraved. Locates Nice, S. Tropez, and much more.

Very crisp impression with strong, original full color. Cartouche uncolored as issued. Just a hint of toning at centerfold, else fine.
