Great map of the whole of Switzerland based on the cartography of Gerard Mercator. Graphically depicting the mountainous region and densely engraved with information including even the tiniest villages. Embellished with a strapwork title cartouche and two scale of miles cartouches, one of which includes a vignette of two gentlemen. French text on verso.

Original coloring and nice impression. Light marginal soil and toning. Two tiny spots of foxing in map, else fine.
