This is a panoramic view of the Swedish siege of Prague, one of the final battles in the Thirty Years' War. The beleaguered city is pictured with its battered defensive walls, fires blazing and canons firing. In the foreground is the ravaged countryside and a hilltop artillery battery. The title is contained in an dramatic drape-style cartouche set in a cloud background with allegorical figures and two portraits.
