A handsome and beautifully engraved copper plate map of today's Greece (here labeled as Greece, Livadia and Morea) and western Turkey. Includes a finely detailed Isle of Candia (Crete). Topography and hydrology are nicely developed with abundant place name detail. Very decorative title cartouche features flags, weapons, musical instruments, and ruins including a bas-relief with many figures. Six distance scales at lower right. Wyld assumed management of Faden's establishment in 1823 so this is likely an early reissue of the Faden imprint. Engraved by W. Palmer.
