Striking, large map of the Mediterranean on two joined sheets. The map describes the entire Mediterranean in great detail. A portion of the Black Sea is noted and detailed as well. This map is filled with minute detail, and the islands of Cyprus, Crete, Morea, Sicily, Malta, Sardinia and Corsica are very well described. A very unusual and quite engrossing map.

Condition: B

Original color and nice impression. Repaired tear in upper left margin, 1.5 inches into map. Some irregular toning and some soft creases at the edges. Verdigris oxidation on Ibiza has caused a small spot of loss.
