A pair of remarkably detailed miniature maps engraved by Thomas Starling. The first; Western Africa, 1833, shows a large amount of place names such as Timbuctoo and L. of Tchad. The second map; Australia, 1834, is divided into two provinces. New Holland on the left, is colored pink and has various regions named. The right half is green and labeled New South Wales. The huge interior is blank and marked as Regions unexplored. Relief on both maps are shown by hachure.

Both with very good impressions and original color. Australia has minor foxing just inside image near lower neatline. Both maps have a small area of damp staining in upper right corner not affecting image.
