This is a Dutch version of Bellin's bird's-eye view of the Island of Hormuz, located in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The map shows the fortress, the church of S. Lucia and the King's Palace on the island. The Komrun fortress on the mainland and another small fort is shown on Kishm Island. The sea is filled with a variety of ships and fishing boats. It was beautifully engraved by J. van Schley in an elaborate frame.
