This is the second edition of the 1894 report with descriptions and 43 color plates, plus one b&w plate of edible, poisonous and "unwholesome" fungi by Charles H. Peck, foremost mycologist. The colored plates are beautifuly drawn with various states of each mushroom on each page. Peck (1833-1917) made an outstanding contribution to the study of mycology with his series of annual reports 1867-1908. Hardbound in original deep olive cloth with gilt titles and handsome stamped Seal of the University of the State of New York in white and gold. Contains 236 pages of text, index and 44 plates.

The colored mushroom plates and text are fine. First two blank end pages loose at top. Covers with minor rubbing and bumping. Spine with some loss at extremities. Else fine.
