This is the atlas to accompany the third monograph of the USGS and contains 17 double-page and 2 single-page maps with printed color. The plates in the atlas include the mining district as a whole as well as sections, diagrams and cross-views of the various shafts. An important atlas of the mining activity in the Comstock Lode. Hardbound in brown buckram with gilt stamped title on front cover. 21 total sheets. Elephant folio.

Front cover separated. Spine missing most of its material. Maps generally good, some with separations in margins not affecting images. Damp staining in lower margins throughout.
