This is the second state of Bellin's handsome chart of Hudson Bay and Labrador depicting the mountains and coastal features including numerous forts. There is a note in French in the far northwest corner of the map explaining that the English had searched for a Northwest Passage in that region, but it did not exist. Embellished with a decorative title cartouche. Published by La Harpe.

Condition: A

Nice impression and attractive color. There are a few short tears in the left and right blank margins, otherwise its fine. Hinge remnants at the top margin.
