This is a large-scale map (4" to 1000') showing Alexandria, Georgetown and Washington. Details are shown along the banks. The route of the canal is sketched from the Potomac Aqueduct (site of the Key Bridge) south to Alexandria. Locates the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, the Cannon Foundry, U.S. Arsenal, the Columbia Turnpike and Alexandria and Washington Turnpike, and more. A beautiful, crisp and clean example. With a little binder's roughness along left trim just touching neatline, else fine.
