This is a scarce issue by Gustav Kobbe, one of the pioneers of automobile road maps. The folding pocket map extends to include the entire county with parts of Fairfield County shown in similar detail. With an inset of Ridgefield, Fairfield Co. Conn. The map extends to include Morrisania and the upper reaches of New York City. The publisher has crossed out the firms street address and stamped in their new location. The print quality on the map is extraordinary for the period. It folds into pictorial wrappers showing carriages and a cycle. On the inside cover is a fine advertisement in red ink for J. Newton Van Ness & Co.'s "Fine Horse Goods" that is a great example of Victorian graphics and lettering. On the back cover is an additional advertisement. A most desirable issue.

The folding map has a couple of small stains, else a fine, mint example. The covers are near fine with just a little sunning or toning at one edge.
