This attractive, small map was reissued by Delamarche, who was the successor to the Robert de Vaugondy family of mapmakers. It details the southern portion of North America, Central America, the West Indies and the northern tip of South America. The Azores are represented in an inset at the top right, and below the scales of miles is an additional title: "les Audiences de Guadalahara, de Mexico, et de Guatimala, forment Le Mexique ou Nouvelle Espagne."
