Delicately engraved map of South America with a charming cartouche and a simple compass rose. Very good information in the interior, focusing particularly on the systems of the La Plata and Amazon rivers. The rain forest in Brazil is noted by many tiny engraved trees. A remnant of the Lac de Parime with its mythical Manoa o el Dorado is still shown straddling the equator.
