Very dramatic title page featuring many allegorical figures. Apollo drives his sun-chariot across the sky at the left, while cherubs and Urania, the muse of Astronomy, engage in cartographic pursuits with armillary spheres, telescopes, compasses and globes. The royal figure of Europa presides over the scene with the winged lion of Venice at her feet. Engraved by G. Zuliani.
