Complete set of delicately engraved miniature maps depicting the whole country . Each is finely colored and fully engraved with mountains, rivers forests, and cities. All have strapwork cartouches with title and scales. Latin text on verso.
1) Helvetia depicts the entire country, with Lake Geneva at the lower left.
2) Zurichgow shows central region of the country, with Basel located in the upper left of the map and Zurich near the center.
3) Argow describes the northeastern region showing Meiringen in the center and Bern and Lucerne in the upper portion of the map.
4) Wiflispurgergow is the northwestern region of the country, roughly between Geneva and Bern with Lake Geneva to the south.
5 Valesia and southwestern region surrounding the Rhone valley with the Alps and Italy to the south. The town of Martinach (Martigny-Ville) is located near the elbow of the Rhone as it leaves Lake Geneva.
