This is an attractive map of Mantua in Lombardy, including the duchies of Brescia, Cremona and Verona, based on Jansson's earlier map of the region. It is centered on the city of Mantua, showing the city within the three artificial lakes that were created as a defense within the 12th century. The map is titled with a drape cartouche and has a decorative scale of miles at the bottom of the map.
