This small 4" terrestrial desk globe is complete with its original tin four legged meridian base. It was produced in Holland and all place names are in Dutch. The globe is composed of twelve lithographed paper gores. The globe rotates on an offset metal ring that is supported in the base. The base meridian shows degrees, months and the Zodiac, and is further decorated with stars and planets around the outside surface. This globe is undated, but geography and place names, such as Siam, dates it to circa 1900-1915.
