This is a classic New Testament map of the Holy Land designed to shows the travels of Christ and the Apostles. The map is oriented with the Mediterranean Sea at top. It details the coast from roughly Gaza to the Lebanese border. The map is decorated with an attractive compass rose as well as sailing ships. The Dead Sea has the cities of Siboim, Gomorra, Sodoma and Adama burning within it. This map is a different state of one engraved by Albert Schut for Cornelis Dankerts for inclusion in a Dutch Bible, lacking only the attribution. Dutch text on verso.

Nice impression with delicate and attractive color. There are some damp stains entering the map at top. The centerfold and lower margin is backed with heavy paper to reinforce and repair a few tears and a fold separation.
