This is a very hard to find atlas featuring ten hand colored, tipped-in maps showing the positions and movements of General Washington, and many other British and American Generals, during the American Revolutionary War. A beautifully engraved vignette of Gen. Washington crossing the Delaware River graces the elegant title page. Published by J. Crissy, 8vo. Complete. Original hard boards with paper label on front cover, with later blue cloth reinforcements to spine and corners.

Some offsetting on maps. Brown ink signature on frontispiece, last endpaper torn and repaired. Covers are moderately soiled and shelf worn. Binding is tight and sound. A wonderful example of an uncommon atlas.
