This delightful miniature atlas, published by George Gropius, contains 24 copper engraved, single page maps of which 23 have original outline color. All the maps are present, and are greatly detailed showing numerous place names. Three maps were not listed on the contents page, but an early owner added them to the list in a delicate hand.. 32 mo. Original hardbound in quarter calf and marbled boards with gilt title and embellishments on spine. Title page is black on green paper with a decorative border.

Condition: A
All maps very good with little to no foxing or toning. Binding and signatures tight and covers with only slight shelf wear and bumping to corners. All in all in very good condition. Printers crease on Western Hemisphere map at left edge.
