This volume contains 24 fine steel engraved plates by Bartlett, and also includes the map "The Danube from its Source to the Black Sea with the Adjacent Countries" (10" x 7.5") uncolored. These fine engravings include such beautiful sights as Court of the Mosque of Bajazet, several engraved views of the Cathedral in Ratisbons, Court of the Mosque of Eyoub, Interior of the Cathedral at Ulm, Entrance to the Seven Towers, Fourth Court of the Serai Bournou, Kraempelstein Castle, and many more. This is volume 7 of 8 and it opens with the steel engravings and the text follows, pages 87 to 134. No title page or other initial text pages, as these were contained only in volume one. Original embossed red cloth binding with gilt illustration on front cover and gilt lettering on spine and edges. The text was written by Julia Pardoe and it was published by George Virture.
