1) A Descriptive List of Maps of the Spanish Possessions…1502-1820, Woodbury Lowery, Washington, 1912. This important carto-bibliography is an annotated record of approximately 700 maps important in the history of the Spanish colonies in North America. It has extensive references to source materials as well as a comprehensive index. A portrait of Mr. Lowery is on frontis, and a lovely, full color decorative title page grace the front. 8vo, hardbound in red cloth with gilt title on spine. Contents are very good with only the frontis and title page toned and lightly foxed. Covers are shelf worn and front hinge has a small separation. Binding tight. Ex-libris, with withdrawn stamp on front end-paper.

2) The Kohl Collection Maps Relating to America, compiled by Justin Winsor, Washington, 1904. This highly respected reference book fully describes this extensive American map collection. Also includes an author list of maps and an index to make it a much more valuable resource. 8vo, hardbound in orignial red cloth with gilt title on spine. Contents very clean, binding tight. Covers show evidence of moisture exposure. Private embossed stamp on front endpaper.
