This is the title page from De Bry's Grand Voyages, an account of Girolamo Benzoni's travels in the West Indies and America. It is beautifully engraved and richly colored and shows natives working the gold mines, while the Inca king, Atahualpa, is being carried on the shoulders of his honor guard to meet Pizarro at the battle of Cajamarca.
