This rarely seen map is a derivative of Melish's map with some improvements and additions. The map shows Arkansas with its pre-1828 borders that incorporate most of present-day Oklahoma. The entire central region is labeled Oregon Territory and the newly created state of Missouri is well shown. North West Territory occupies all of today's Minnesota and Wisconsin. This example is still bound into the original and complete Jackson Wreath with several plates, 88pp.

The map is near fine apart from some light offsetting visible in the blank ocean and a short binding trim tear. Full margins, strong original coloring. The book is good with covers sunned and starting in front, first end paper lose, contents with scattered foxing.
