This is a scarce Cuban-produced Spanish language city plan that was made during the short occupation (1899 - 1902) of Cuba by the US Army. This US issued version carries colored over-printing on the Cuba map. The city is shown in terrific detail with all streets clearly shown and named. It includes the suburbs of Casa Blanca and Regla. Details include parks, the Cementiero de Colon, and various important buildings. The map shows the street sprinkler system with the secondary title in English "Office of Chief Engineer - City of Havana - Map Showing Street Sprinkling." Colored legend delineates the watering schemes of Four times daily, Twice, Once per day with and without Electrozone. Also locates Special Street Sprinkling hydrants. Produced by the "Office of the Engineer, Division of Cuba. To accompany Report of June 30th, 1900." Signed in the plate by WM Black, Major Corps of Engineers, Chief Engineer. A large and colorful city plan that is quite scarce.

A very nice example of this large folding map that has fine color and full, original margins. A few fold intersection splits and barely perceptible toning at a fold, else fine.
