This is a very nice street plan of San Domingo, the present capital of the republic. A legend at upper right names and indicates the location of 22 significant features on the map. Two roads head west plus another across the Riv. De Lauzama at la Chapelle heads east. The chart is embellished with rococo-style cartouche, rhumb lines, and fleur-de-lys.

Condition: A

Dark impression on full sheet of thick hand laid paper with wide margins. Small portion of upper right corner missing. Small area of light foxing at bottom of map, still very good.
