This highly decorative map of the Greek Islands in the northern Aegean Sea includes Lemnos, Lesbos, Chios and Skiros. It was drawn by Johannes Laurenberg, who worked for the all major Dutch cartographic publishers of the period. A good portion of the coastline of Turkey is shown as well. The map is filled with decorative details including sailing ships, warships, and a decorative cartouche surrounded with livestock, flanked by a couple in traditional attire, and topped with putti. French text on verso.

Nice impression on a sheet with a close margin at the bottom, still sufficient for framing. There is a printer's crease on the right side of the map, and a repaired tear (just entering map) on the upper left of the centerfold.
