Lovely pair of maps focused on Mediterranean islands.
1) British Possessions in the Mediterranean by John Tallis, circa 1851 is a finely engraved sheet with several inset maps, the largest of which includes Corfu, Malta, Gibraltar, with five smaller maps (including the Ionian Islands) and five lovely vignettes. Original outline color (9.75 x 13.25").
2) Also includes a page with two black and white maps; Candia, the ancient Crete [and] Cyprus. By Blackie and Son, circa 1860 (5.3 x 7.2").
