This is a very uncommon map from the main work of the protestant minister and oriental scholar Samuel Bochart (1599-1667). It locates the Garden of Eden at the confluence of the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers near Babylon. The cartouche features the serpent with an apple in its mouth.
