Important Mexican-American War period map shows the route of Col. Kearny and his Army of the West from Ft. Leavenworth to Los Angeles via Santa Fe and San Diego. Wheat says that the map was an important milestone in the cartographic development and accurate determination of the West. Published in Senate Doc #7, 30th Congress, 1st Session. This map is printed on two sheets joined, as issued. A very fine example of this large map which is normally found in far worse condition.

A terrific example of this large folding map. A few very light spots at upper left corner. At the same corner is a little missing paper from binding trim, not affecting image, otherwise a fine example of this clean and bright map.
