A nice pair of first edition copper engraved, hand colored maps that were copyrighted, engraved and printed by the firm of Illman & Pillbrow, in 1836. These are plates 3 and 4 of Burr's atlas, and show numerous place names, rivers, and more. The Southern Hemisphere shows just a hint of Antarctica, here named South Shetland.

A little foxing at lower left in margin, the engraved area is mostly very good with full color and bright impression. The map has full, original margins.
