A crisply engraved map of South America with very interesting topography. The mythical lake Parime is shown in Guyana, coincidentally near the location of the manmade resevoir Represa da Balbina in present-day Brazil. The fictional lake Xarayes is shown in the center of the continent. A delicately garlanded cartouche decorates the map.
