This interesting sheet presents a map of Britain with a map of her colonies in New England and Bermuda. The map of New England includes Montreal, and extends down the coast from Port Royal to Long Island with rather cramped scale. The island of Bermuda is shown, and three ships sail the ocean, accompanied by a lone sea monster. The map of Britain is filled with pictorial topography and topped with a cartouche representing England with the Virgin and Child looking on approvingly. This chart was included in Scherer's geographical compendium that emphasized the Catholic hierarchy and the spread of Jesuit missions throughout the world.

A nice example with a small repaired worm track in the lower margin, just shy of the map. There is a bit of printer's ink residue in the map.
