This is a varied lot of city views depicting London from the 16th to the 17th centuries, but published in the 18th century.
1) A View of London about the Year 1560 was included in Maitland's History of London, dated 1738. A very attractive view of London shows the early city with an alphanumeric key along the bottom noting important buildings and locations. (16.5 x 10")
2) Urbis et Pontis Londini Prospectus is a vue d'optique engraving of London, printed in Paris by J. Cherceau, engraved by Loyer, circa 1770. (15 x 8.6")
3) A Plan of the City and Environs of London, as Fortified by Order of Parliament, in the Years 1642 &1643 is a lovely , small plan of London by Alexander Hogg from Thornton's New and Complete History and Survey of London & Westminster &c , circa 1780 (12.3 x 7.5")

1. This view is backed with artist's canvas to support minor loss and tears, and there are some light, scattered stains. 2. This view has been backed with a sheet of old, printed ledger paper, with the lines faintly visible from the front. 3. Faint foxing in blank margins, else fine.
