A great collection of steel engraved views of Scotland by three well known artists; T. Allom, W.H. Bartlett and G.B. Campion. This group of plates is part of Volume I of Scotland by William Beattie, M.D. Illustrated in a Series Taken Expressly for this Work by Messrs. Allom, Bartlett, &c. It includes a charming engraved vignette on the frontis, a map of Scotland, and 22 plates, each with their original tissue guards, interspersed throughout the text, and include views of Edinburgh, Holyrood Chapel and Roslyn Chapel. Sold as a collection of plates.

Plates have light toning along edges and occasional, light soiling. Frontis and map are soiled with some edge chipping.
