Finely engraved and detailed chart of the Baltic Sea focuses only on the coastlines. A large inset, The Harbour of Petersburg shows the narrow, protected approach to the city. Includes a decorative compass rose with radiating rhumb lines, plus a very decorative title cartouche.

An evenly toned sheet with paper repairs on verso reinforcing the centerfold, the top right corner, and repairing a tear that enters the map border at left.
