This pair of plans is from Pufendorf's chronicle on The Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X.
1) Ichnographia Rutcopiae Langelandiae Oppidi post occupatam Insulam…1659 is a beautifully engraved plan of the fortified town of Rutkioping on the island of Langeland. Fully engraved sea includes two large rowboats filled with sailors engaged in a ferocious battle at close range. The sheet is decorated with a scroll-style cartouche, compass rose and picture frame borders (12 x 9.5").
2) Delineatio Oppidi Koeg / Delineatio Geometrica Oppidi Koeg, two plans of Koege; prior to fortification in 1659, and after completion of the fortress in 1660. Embellished with nice cartouches and a bold border (12.2 x 9.8").
