A pair of terrific woodblock, double-page bird's-eye views of Trier and Selestat with Italian text on verso.
Trier shows the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel Rivers winding through the hilly countryside. This example shows several boats navigating the rivers, farmers working the crops and another figure is strolling down the hill from a grand castle.
Selestat shows cattle grazing in the fields and waterfowl perched along the river's edge in the foreground with the walled city stretching across the view creating the horizon and mountains in the background. Both plates have elegant banner style titles, coats of arms, and the engraver's initials are featured prominently in the lower right.
