A boldly engraved map depicting the geographical and political divisions throughout Asia. The map is surrounded by French text describing the history and geography of the region. The historical extent of the empires of Genghis Khan and Tamerlan are show with bold lines. Hand coloring identifies six regions and the related table gives further information on the area. Size given includes text panels.

Dark impression with fine original full wash coloring. There is a trace of offsetting, else fine.
