Finely engraved map centered on the mouth of the Ganges, and extending to all of India, Pakistan, Thailand, Ceylon, Siam, Laos, Cambodia, part of Tibet, and the Malay Peninsula. Extensive notes discuss the production of diamonds and gems, cinnamon and pearls in the area. The decorative title cartouche features elephants and oriental rugs.

A nice impression and attractive color. A number of short tears and a fold separation that extends halfway into the map from the bottom have been closed on the verso with archival tape. A couple of short marginal separations are not repaired.
