This map was compiled from the 11th Census of the United States. It is a colorful map based on a similar map published in the Annual Report of Bureau of Ethnology. A useful map for a student interested in understanding the possible early relationships of the various Native American Tribes. Small inset of the Aleutian Islands at lower left. Chromolithographed by the New York firm of Sackett & Wilhelms. A very nice example of this map.

A small area of toning at extreme edge at top and bottom, still fine. Folding as issued.
