These three maps cover most of the eastern United States and southeast Canada including the Canadian Maritimes. Detail includes numerous Indian tribes. 1) Carte de la Louisiane, et de la Floride is a handsome map of the American South and the Mississippi River Valley that extends from Charleston, South Carolina west to include New Orleans and north well into Illinois. It provides good detail on the course of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. Florida is shown with its panhandle extending west to include Mobile and Biloxi. A small inset provides details of the Missouri River. A couple marginal tears repaired on verso. Grade A.

2) Carte de la Partie Sud des Etats Unis de l'Amerique Septentrionale. Copper engraved map that covers the states of Virginia, North & South Carolina, and Georgia. All settlement is confined east of the Appalachians with les Cherokees the only note in the otherwise blank west. Ref: Kershaw #491; Ristow, p.177; not listed in Wagner or Wheat. Damp stained. Grade B+.

3) L'Isle de Terre-Neuve, l'Acadie on la Nouvelle Ecosse, l'Isle St. Jean et la Partie Orientale du Canada. Copper engraved map of the Maritimes as far west as Lake Ontario, as well as New England and the Atlantic coast to Philadelphia. The map is detailed to show the provinces, towns, forts, harbors, Indian tribes, and the fishing banks in the North Atlantic. Ref: Kershaw #725; McCorkle #782.3; Sellers and van Ee #172. Dampstained. Grade B+.
