This colorful, cerographic map is surrounded by clocks representing the time in 48 cities around the world when it is 12:00 PM in New York. The times are given down to the minute, meaning someone calculated the degrees of longitude between each city and New York, then divided that number by the result of 360 degrees divided by 24 hours, and either added or subtracted that result from the time in New York, depending on whether the city was located to the east or west of there. The map itself shows a large and unusual configuration of Idaho Territory extending eastward to Dakota, and incorporating Montana and Wyoming. Arizona is shown still in possession of the southern portion of Nevada. Map measures 14 x 9" without the surrounding time indicators. On verso are maps of Maine and Upper and Lower Canada. A very nice example of a difficult to find map.

Map is a clean, bright example printed on thick paper. A couple short repaired tears, one just reaching into the border.
