Handsome copper engraved map that shows New England from Maine to Cape Cod, prior to the final settlement of the boundary between the United States and Canada. The District of Maine is bounded on the north by The Dividing Highlands (Katahdin and the start of the Appalachian Trail) and on the east by the St. Croix River, which is still the eastern boundary with Canada from Passamaquoddy Bay.

A dark impression on a sheet with folds as issued. The map has some offsetting and some fold splits, which have been repaired on the verso with archival tape.
