This interesting, small map is focused on the Mississippi River Valley and extends to Michigan. The colonial extensions of Florida and Carolina are shown on the right. The map includes a portion of the Gulf Coast, with New Orleans located and a town of Teijas named in preset-day Texas. A note nearby records the presence of the French explorer La Salle in 1685, just a couple of years before his murder at the hands of a mutinous follower in 1687.

A nice example with a tiny smudge near New Orleans.
