This map shows remarkable progress over the 1861 edition and presents similar information to the 1863 issue. The legend locates by line and color the gold, silver, copper, oil, and quick silver deposits thoughout the state. At lower left is a list of 433 Private Grants with each grant numbered and its location shown on the map. The Central Pacific Railroad is nearly completed from San Francisco to the Nevada border, ending at Cisco. Signed in the plate by Jos. Wilson, Commissioner. A large and finely drawn map with original color and much topographical and watershed detail.
