A great copper engraved chart detailing the entrance to New York Harbor. The city is shown as a tiny village with a fort. Other settlements located include Neversink, Gravesend, Newark, Woodbridge and Ambois. With soundings, anchorages and hazards to navigation located. Delicately engraved rococo-style title cartouche and fleur-de-lis on rhumblines.

With full margins and a partial watermark. Some scattered foxing mostly in margins.
